Student Assessments Math and Reading EOG may be computerized this year Unit tests include EOG sample questions Gridded response is new to 5th grade Overall I-Ready Score Goals: Between 480-540 is on 5th grade level for math Between 581-640 is on 5th grade level for reading Students are expected to grow by 20 points Students can access I-Ready at home to work on their individualized lesson plans (30+ min per week)

ELA Learning Objectives READING Identify the theme of a story, drama or poem. Restate, sequentially, the main idea/events/points from a story, drama or poem. Identify several main ideas and connect the supporting details. Determine the meaning of figurative language. (Similes and Metaphors) Use context clues to help unlock the meaning of unknown words/phrases. Distinguish fact from opinion. Determine author’s main purpose. Read books based on student Lexile Level, that meets or exceeds 1050L, by end of 5th grade.
