Friday 9/9 Due Today: NA; Please go shopping – for items left Objectives: Harder DA/Density/Temp worksheet – Parts III-VIII Homework: Rutherford lab due on Monday, 9/12 Study Sig fig/DA - Sig Fig quiz – Block day Sig fig/DA DQ class averages 11-13 out of 14 Lab comprehension DQ – 2.5-3.5 out of 5 be prepared for weekly lab quiz Extra credit Conversion game Monday, 9/12, to test your speed and accuracy – learn your metric conversion factors CN 11.1-and self check 11.1 – 11.3 due next Friday 9/16 Test Review due next Friday, 9/16 (check answers and correct with key on website) Test Monday 9/19 DQ: see handout and add question 5 5. What is the volume shown? You may use Cornell notes Today’s Handouts: NA Friday 9/9

DQ: Taken directly from PP3 slide 31 Graduated cylinders shows each line (scale) represents 1 ml increments. This instrument is accurate to ones place, therefore estimated digit should be in tenth place. For scaled instruments the estimated digit must be determined by YOU. Liquid volume is 43.0 ml not 43 ml. The zero, in tenth place, is the estimated digit.
