Removing a dog from a cage

Check cage card note temperament/special instructions of animals Observe animal body langage Prepare leash Using the door of cage/run as a barrier allow dogs head to enter leash (Run: Push door in when entering and out when exiting)

Place hand in handle of leash and fold if shorter leash is needed

If there are other animals in the cage do not let them escape while you are removing your animal

Returning animal to cage/run Place animal in cage Close door almost completely Remove leash Shut cage Double check cage is shut
