Mrs. Lowenhaupt Welcome back! Warm-up: 1. Find your assigned seat. You are sitting alphabetically for the first few days until I learn your names! 2. Complete the getting to know you worksheet. Be prepared to share something from the front and back of your sheet.

Getting to Know You... Please introduce yourself to two people sitting near you. Share one place you would love to travel and why. You will share with the class. Reminders! 1. Please project your voice. 2. Listen to your classmates. 3. Do not speak when others are speaking.

Supplies - 3-inch binder -Loose Leaf -5 Binder Dividers -Pens -Highlighter Highly Suggested: Test Prep Book (as indicated in the syllabus) Suggested: Various applications, websites, books that will help you.

Grading Breakdown Assessments- 50% Homework- 25% Classwork- 25% Infinite Campus -Graded assignments will be updated within 10 days of the due date, unless assignments are late or it is an end of term project.

Do all of the regular credit first! Extra Credit... Do all of the regular credit first!

Participation Everyone will participate... everyday! (And that’s a good thing!!) I do randomly call on students.

Group Work... This will not happen.

Lateness - If you are running late, make an effort to arrive as soon as possible. A lot of important things happen at the beginning of class! -If you arrive late, on that extremely rare occasion, please enter quietly and read the board before asking a classmate. -Warm-up activities are graded!

Cell Phone Policy

Homework and Late Assignments There is no option to skip an assignment.  You will complete every assignment.  The only zeros in the grade book will be from cheating or plagiarism (both of which I, and the school, take very seriously).   Late Assignments Late assignments hurt your educational progress and your grade.  Work being turned in late will be subject to a reduction in your score.  Late assignments will have a maximum score of 65.

Mrs. L’s Pet Peeve Participation grades are from bell to bell.

Bathroom!

You will be successful and I know all of you can be.

Questions? Comments? Concerns?
