When asked to give an status report on my office in SA on word best describes the 4 years I have had in the role. Disruptive- It has been a period of significant change. That is probably in part because I came in just after the GFC, but it make me think about that sort of change over my career, and I would like to share that with you as a lead into the major challenges of change we now face.
The environment we are in is Disruptive. Disruptive technology or disruptive innovation ? But is definitely disruptive.
“The Speed of change is exponential. The amount of technological advancement that occurred in the year 2000 occurs every 1 hour and 6 minutes in 2013, and will occur every 30 seconds in 2020.”
I know you cannot read this chart but of the top ten disruptive technologies, the to 6 have some impact on surveyors.
