Learning Target I will be able to define chemistry and discuss the 2 laws that must always be followed!!

Why do they look so similar? Based on Two Laws… Law of Conservation of Matter (or mass)— Matter cannot be created or destroyed– it can only change form. Law of Conservation of Energy – Energy cannot be created or destroyed– it can only change form. Why do they look so similar? E=mC2

What do we use as a basis for our study of matter in the universe? Scientific Method… Of Course!

Define a problem[often in question form] Form a hypothesis Research the problem Design an experiment Must have a control and a variable (we attempt to design experiments with only 1 variable) Run the experiment Multiple times—at least 3 but more if possible Analyze the data Often with graphs; always with math!! Make conclusions
