Mr. Magner YVHS GEOSCIENCE Variables in Science Mr. Magner YVHS GEOSCIENCE

Types of Variables Independent Variable - Someone's age might be an independent variable. Other factors (such as what they eat, how much they go to school, how much television they watch) aren't going to change a person's age.

Dependent Variables Dependent Variable -A dependent variable is affected by another, typically the independent variable in the equation. The output or outcome of variation is being affected.

The Control Control– Control variable is the one element that is not changed throughout an experiment. because its unchanging state This allows the student to study the relationship between the other variables, to compare results, and to help refine experiments.
