Presentation transcript:

ECONOMICS: October 30 Warm-up Draw a business cycle diagram. Then, predict how you think Real GDP and inflation are related. Learning Target In order to understand the causes and consequences of instability in the U.S. economy, I will analyze how inflation affects the average consumer. I will know I have it when I can: (1) calculate change in prices given hypothetical CPIs; (2) graph and explain some causes of inflation; and (3) explain how some people get hurt by excess inflation. Ch. 13, Lesson 2 Student Lecture Guide (HO) --inflation & deflation terms --inflation target --market basket & CPI --main causes of inflation (see graphs) --negative consequences of inflation Assignment Ch. 12-13 Test Review (HO from earlier) Ch. 12-13 Test is TOMORROW (Warm-ups due TOMORROW: 10-24, 10-25, 10-26, 10-29, and 10-30) (Review due TOMORROW for up to 10 bonus points on test!) Have questions about the review? I will be in my room by 8:15 Wed.
