The Bishop of St Albans’ Harvest Appeal 2018 Give peas a chance

Many people in Malawi live on food they grow themselves.

Frank and the Pea-stalk

Frank and the pea-stalk Once upon a time, there was a farmer called Frank, who lived in Malawi.

An ogre sent hot sun to kill Frank's crops

Drought destroyed the crops

Then the ogre sent rain to wash them away.

Heavy rains flooded the fields

Frank was very sad...

...until a man gave him some special peas.

The peas grew well in sun and in rain.

These amazing peas can grow when it’s too dry.

And even when it is too wet.

Now Frank's family have a good harvest.
