HOW WOULD YOU REACT? 3. REPENTANCE (17-26).

“Therefore repent and return…” Acts 3:19 “Therefore repent and return…”

REPENT The Greek word is METANOIA. A change of mind, to turn, agree with God.

“…Produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation…” 2 COR. 7:9-10 “You were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God…” “…Produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation…”

“Repent and RETURN (TO GOD), so that your sins may be wiped away….” ACTS 3:19 “Repent and RETURN (TO GOD), so that your sins may be wiped away….” “Be Converted” (KJV)--You turn to God. Exercise faith, saving faith.

REPENT AND RETURN 2 sides of the same coin. It was the message Paul says he declared from the first, night and day, publicly and from house to house, without shrinking back.

“Repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 20:21 “Repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” The gospel is both.
