MOTIVATION IS A CHOICE!

Vocabulary Intrinsic – within yourself Extrinsic – outside yourself Using these definitions, describe the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.

Perspective Perspective guides motivation Positive perspective: “This math test is an opportunity for me to demonstrate what I have learned and see what I still need to work on.” Negative perspective: “This math test is just to keep me busy and put a number in the gradebook.” Which of these perspectives is most likely to improve motivation (and results)?
