Introduction Extra-EU CCs are prepared as monthly time series, in two "packages" each covering a 6 months period (Feb-July; Aug-Jan) Currently, annual Extra-EU CC values for July each year are adopted by means of a Council Regulation and take effect from the date of publication in the Official Journal. Intermediate modifications of Extra-EU CCs when PPP varies by more than 5%, apply following notification of a Commission Decision. There is a periodic report to the Council concerning implementation of Annex X to the Staff Regulations.

Croatia case: Since 1st July 2013 Croatia is a new Member State of the European Union.(CC<100) Extra-EU CC for Croatia will still be produced for 18 months (until January 2015) to cover transitional period for staff on post.
