Presentation transcript:

History 488/588, Oral History, Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-4:45 New and Improved: Come see this class in its second incarnation. Students will learn the theory and technique of oral history while undertaking projects of great community interest. This spring we will collect the histories of individuals associated with the shipping industry in the Lake Pontchartrain Basin and the families of governors from the Old Louisiana Governor's Mansion. The Maritime Museum, the Governor’s Mansion, and Southeastern will cooperate to archive the best student projects as contributions to the historical record. You have the chance to create an invaluable resource that future generations of researchers will rely upon. Do you want the opportunity to learn about the past around you and make your mark on what the future will remember? Open to both graduate and undergraduate students. For more information contact Dr. David Benac at 549-5723 or dbenac@selu.edu
