Agency of the Department of Small Business Development. Established in December 2004, through the National Small Business Amendment Act, Act 29 of 2004. Merging three organizations; Ntsika Enterprise Promotion Agency, National Manufacturing Advisory Centre (NAMAC) and the Community Public Private Partnership Programme (CPPP). The GODISA Trust and the Technology Programmes were integrated into Seda in April 2006, becoming Seda Technology Programme (STP).

Seda provides business development and support services for small enterprises through its national network in partnership with other role players Seda also implements programmes targeted to business development in areas prioritized by the Government.

It is mandated to implement government’s small business strategy; design and implement a standard and common national delivery network for small enterprise development; and integrate government-funded small enterprise support agencies across all tiers of government.

SEDA COACHING PROGRAMME Goals and objectives of the Small Enterprise Coaching Programme The goal of this coaching programme is to assemble groups of enterprises employing 10 to 30 employees and expose them to experienced employees of large corporations, retired experts and other experts with the express intent of achieving: Increased Turnover; Retained/Increased Jobs; Improved Efficiency and Effectiveness; and Improved Compliance with Statutory Bodies.
