Each word will be reviewed daily and put on our class word wall for daily reference. All of the second grade learning objectives can be found on the Virginia Department of Education website. Reading Notes Story: My Family Comprehension Skill: Compare and Contrast Phonics Skill: Short o,u,e Grammar Skill: Complete Sentences Vocabulary Words: Remembered, porch, crown, spend, stuck, visit, cousin, piano Social Studies/ Science Notes 2.6 We will be learning about maps and globes this week. Also, we will identify and label the 7 continents and 5 oceans on the world map. We will also create simple maps with a date, title, and legend. Math Notes 2.5 We will be working on addition and subtraction facts this week. I have a lot of fun activities planned so that students can show what they know! It is very important that students learn their math facts. Please review them nightly!  Concentrating on Doubles and double plus one this week!!
