THE CULTUR Hungarian mythology includes myths, legends, folk and fantastic tales of the Hungarian people. A large part of them have been lost, so only a limited number of texts can be classified as myths, despite this the Hungarian mythology has been recovered with some success over the last hundred years. The most important sources for this recovery work were: Folklore. Many mythological characters have remained in popular tales, pagan rituals have been turned into Christian or otherwise popular feasts. Medieval chronicles and similar works concerning Hungary. Writings on Hungarians (or Magyars) produced by non-Hungarian authors (mainly before the year 850). Archeology has helped to rebuild religion. The Hungarians were converted to Christianity only in the eleventh century

HUNGARIAN CURRENCY The Hungarian forint (in Hungarian forint) is the official currency of Hungary. The ISO 4217 code is HUF. A florin was divided into 100 fillér. The fillér are no longer in circulation since 1999.
