Paul Harris Fellow The ”magic” number for a PHF is 1000 It can be US$1000, 1000 Recognition Points or a combination of both The blue “dots” represent dollar contributions, the red “dots” represent points donated to an account. A Paul Harris Fellow award can be achieved by contribution your own $1000, by having a Paul Harris Fellow or your club transfer 1000 points to your account, or by mixing and matching the two. Some clubs literally mix and match by giving a 1:1 match to every dollar contributed to the Rotary Foundation until the first 1000 is achieved.
Paul Harris Fellow After the first PHF PHF+1 PHF Once the first 1000 bucket is “full” and the individual becomes a Paul Harris Fellow, each new dollar he or she contributes generates their own Foundation Recognition Point that they can give away (the green “dot”). While they can still receive additional point transfers, those transfers do NOT generate Foundation Recognition Points. PHF

The Foundation Recognition Points column on the right shows how many points can be given away. Your club secretary or club president can access this report for you and tell you were you are.
Using Recognition Points Foundation Recognition Points are earned by clubs (through club gifts) and individuals (through personal gifts once they become a PHF) Points can be awarded to Rotarians and Non-Rotarians Points cannot be transferred to the club to re-gift to others Points cannot be applied to your own Recognition Amount
Who can transfer what? Individuals can transfer their own Recognition Points to other individuals. Club Presidents can transfer club points and points of former and deceased members. Caution: When a former member returns, they can reclaim their points if they were transferred without their consent. Secure consent first before using those points. Otherwise the club must refund them.
