Create an identity diagram web about yourself Starter Activity: Create an identity diagram web about yourself

Collage Puzzle Big Question: What’s my life puzzle? A collection of ideas.. images you select Big Question: What’s my life puzzle?

Select a format for organizing the images repeat that format Drawing things about yourself Things you are interested in.

Decide how to organize the images Will they interact with each other?

Crop the images so the viewer needs to figure out what it is.. a puzzle…

repeat the colors for unity Push hard with the pencil to create bold colors. Shade with the complements to create neutrals Use strong color repeat the colors for unity

Select a variety of images to show different aspects of who you are

Everyone’s will be different Look at the total image to see if the color moves with good repetition to create Rhythm. Everyone’s will be different

Assignment: Create a Drawing about your interests, things you like , stuff you life to do , friends, hopes and dreams. Include words.. logo’s , a poem, song lyric, quote, something you have written, words that have meaning for you. Crop the images so only a portion of it shows

Criteria Images the show your personality/likes 2. Puzzle format to create visual interest 3. Use of saturation, value, and contrast in colors 4. Take up the entire drawing space.

Create a preliminary sketch showing what you will design for your final product. Planning is key to a successful product. Once you finish your sketch, show it to me and I will give you paper for your final design

Artist Statement- Questions to Answer 1. Describe the meaning behind the symbols/images you chose to draw in your puzzle. How do they describe your life, personality, and culture? 2. What image/area of the puzzle drawing is the most significant and why? At least 1 full paragraph

Once your work is complete, we will then display the art in the library windows looking out into the commons. 1. Using clear tape, mount your drawing on the inside of the library windows. Then, tape your artist statement next to it.
