Adult Education and Diversity Programs Assisting Cerritos College with New Initiatives- Assessment, Orientation, SEP

Noncredit Assessment, Orientation and SEP Noncredit students are assessed using the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) In Person Orientation is mandatory for all new students. Students are given a New Student Orientation Guide that outlines programs and services through the Adult Education Department. Noncredit Student Educational Plan (NCSEP) is created to address short and long term goals. Students’ are encouraged to transition from noncredit to credit and supported through the process. Noncredit Assessment, Orientation and SEP

Assisting Cerritos College Students’ with Basic Skills Adult Education is assisting Cerritos College with new initiatives by providing support courses for students that may need additional pre-college level support. Students that are taking AED 49.01 Preparatory Math linked to AIME benefit from the extra support in the class so they can complete the Math requirements in one year or less. Math 40, Math 60 or Math 80 can take AED 42.99 College Placement Strategies ( the course is intended to help students that are not at college level math reach transferable math within the first year) Assisting Cerritos College Students’ with Basic Skills
