Infant Growth Vocabulary Quantitative changes (number of changes) in the child. How many pounds gained? How many inches grown? How many teeth are showing through the gums? Development Qualitative changes (how well a child develops physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually) How are the motor skills progressing? Is the infant able to differentiate colors? Is the infant able to wait for longer periods to have needs satisfied?
