Gidakiim A Community of Science Yohannes Seifu Chelsey Riewer Gidakiim is a website that will allow its community members to communicate about the happenings in nature. They can make a post about what they have witnessed, with the post they can share their location, post a picture, and pick the date it occurred on. WordPress is an online open source creation tool. People mainly use WordPress for their blog. The main language used in WordPress is PHP. WordPress has multiple features for users to improve their site. In order to improve Gidakiim we used plugins. The plugins we used are Simple Fields and Mailgun, and we made the Weather Plugin. Bellow is an example of when a user clicks on the pin point. Here is an example of what a post would look like. When the user picks the location, the weather tags will be enabled and people will be able to see what the weather was like that day. When the location is picked it will be displayed on the occurrences map pictured bellow. Pictured bellow is the home page. This is what users will see right away. Gidakiim is hosted on WordPress.
