ESTP 2012 2012, is the first year of ESTP II programme. 32 training courses will be on offer in 2012 (27 already delivered). Novelties in the 2012 programme included training courses in the field of environmental statistics. All courses have been developed based on wishes and needs identified as a result of an intense and fruitful cooperation between Eurostat and the National Statistical Institutes forming part of the European Statistical System (ESS).

ESTP 2012 - ESS website The ESTP homepage on the ESS website continues to be the main communication tool for ESS_LDF related issues in the ESS. http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/portal/page/portal/pgp_ess/about_ess/estp downloadable versions of the annual core programme, a generic application form and replies to frequently asked questions (FAQ). The European Statistical System (ESS) website is a single entry point to relevant information on the organization and activities of the ESS, both as a whole and for its individual partners. ESTP 2012 - CIRCABC The CIRCABC will be the main library for the training material of all ESTP courses. ESTP 2012 participants
ESTP 2012 - Participation (1) Up to now 387 participants attended the 2012 ESTP courses and the envisaged number was 396 participants (98%). - Average number 14 (with PC) and 20 to 25 (rest of courses) 53 applications could not be accepted as the courses were full but we also had 21 cancellations - In the 1st course "Introduction to Seasonal adjustment and DEMETRA+" we had 15 participants and we had to refuse 19 applications!!! For 1/3 of the courses the deadline application was extended in order to obtain enough applications! - Below 50% of the envisaged participants, Eurostat may cancel the course.
ESTP 2012 - Participation (2) One course had to be cancelled as we did not receive enough applications even after extending the deadline! When sending applications: - If for the same course you send more than one application form, you are kindly requested to give them an order of priority. - All applications should be sent to the respective course organiser (ESTAT, EFTA, contractors) 9
1st and 2nd quarter 2012 courses ESTP 2012 - Evaluation 1st and 2nd quarter 2012 courses Average overall evaluation from the participants is over the targeted threshold of "65%" 1st Q: 73% 2nd Q: 71% Highest score: 92% for "Introduction to Seasonal Adjustment and Demetra+" followed by "National accounts – basic course" with 87%.
