Importance of kitchen Kitchen’s cost more most square foot than any other area in the home (due to cost of equipment) Large majority of the time is spent in kitchen and dining area Must meet families needs… Functionality Food prep friendly (work triangle) Entertainment purposes

Kitchen Design Sequence

WORK TRIANGLE is the perimeter between the fridge, stove and sink. One-Wall Kitchen WORK TRIANGLE is the perimeter between the fridge, stove and sink. Min. 11’6” or 3.5m Max. 20’ or 6m

L-Shaped Kitchen 2’ or 600mm of counter space available on either side of the sink for doing dishes

U-Shaped Kitchen 3’ or 900mm of useable counter space for food preparation should be available.
