General recommendations The Expert Group had the intention to include a range of productive activities in the indicator set, including household labour and volunteering. However, data paucity means that most of the indicators on productive activities are concerned with formal paid labour. This will be rectified when new data will become available. Expert Group on Quality of Life Indicators The Time Use Survey (TUS) is a necessary source to study social interactions, but also non-market production and the not negligible transactions between the market and non-market production. It allows estimating the total production and then the GDP in more comprehensive way. It is preferable that the TUS includes also well-being data, in order, among all, to provide better information on affects (part of the overall experience of life assessment).
