What happened/ explain different sides (if necessary) Need to include importance/significance (why are we talking about this?) Did the person change the course of history? Did the event change the course of history? What impact did the person/event have?

Example (Unit I): King Charles I King Charles I was king of England during the 17th century. Although he was supposed to follow the Magna Carta, which limited his power and gave the “power of the purse” (control over England’s taxation & spending) to Parliament, he believed he had “divine right” and was therefore, more powerful and important than Parliament. During his reign, Charles I had many problems with Parliament and he dismissed them three times. These problems came to a head with the English Civil War, pitting the King and his supporters (Royalists) against Parliament and their supporters (Parliamentarians). King Charles I lost the English Civil War, was tried for treason, found guilty, and beheaded.
