A Name Game!!! Show me how you get down!

What does improv mean to you? Let’s define it!

Improv is known as the art of accepting the unknown gracefully. Yes, And Group Mind Accepting Improv is known as the art of accepting the unknown gracefully. Relationships Exploring Listening Heightening

“Some people misunderstand improv…it seems that improv is all about being funny. But it is not. Improv is about being spontaneous. It is about being imaginative. It is about taking the unexpected and then doing something unexpected with it. The key is to be open to crazy ideas and building on them. And funnily enough, this is exactly what is needed if we are going to make our enterprises more creative and agile.” – Paul Sloane

Ms. Viola Spolin…..the Mother of Improv! In 1946 Spolin founded the Young Actors Company In Hollywood. Spolin returned to Chicago in 1955 and conducted games workshops with the Compass Players, who were the first American improv company. From 1960 to 1965 Spolin worked at Second City and developed Theater Games (also known as Spolin Games) theory and practice and from that published Improvisation for the Theater. 1906 - 1994

The Wonderful and Wise Ms. Tina Fey
