Is there life on Mars? How would we find out?

Meet milo the science rover! Key Objectives In this project, you will: Explore different ways scientists and engineers reach remote places. Create, build and program Milo the Science Rover. Document how Milo can help you discover a special plant specimen.

milo the science rover Max’s and Mia’s BIG question: Explore phase Max and Mia are ready to explore the world and make some great discoveries. They will need some help, especially to explore remote places, in order to find a special plant specimen. Max’s and Mia’s BIG question: What do scientists and engineers do when they cannot go where they want to explore? Mia Max

2. create and build You and your partner will need to work together to create and build your robot. You will need to follow the instructions carefully and work as a team. As one builds a part their partner needs to double check before clicking the next arrow. Try and include key words like Tynker, Algorithm and Debug

3. program Connect your device Using the block codes create an algorithm for your robot, tinker and debug as you test. Try and include key words like Tynker, Algorithm and Debug

4. Test and document All good scientists record their findings. Does your rover to the job? You can evidence your work by taking photos and adding labels to your diagram Save and print!

Plastics in the ocean How can we clean it up?

ECO warrior robots Max’s and Mia’s BIG question: Let’s get scientific! Max and Mia are ready to help save the planet from plastic. They need to use science and technology in their mission. Max’s and Mia’s BIG question: How can we improve beach and ocean cleans? Mia Max Discuss that beach cleans take up a lot of ‘people power’. What are the weaknesses of this. They need feeding, accommodating, transporting and they need to rest (and sleep!). What doesn’t need to eat and sleep? A robot!
