Today’s Agenda Review for quiz through our FOA Take quiz and grade quiz Look at a sample constitution- learn about possible weaknesses and strengths

FOA- Looking at the Northwest Territory Look at the worksheet- the side with the Articles and empty boxes Look at Article I- answer the question in the box below Look at Article V- answer the questions in the box below Look at Article VI- answer the question in the box to the right You’re gonna do great on this quiz!

Creating a government And tell me why you put it in that category. Today we are looking at a sample of a constitution- a document that creates rules for governing a state or country The sample constitution we will look at today, is similar to the Articles of Confederation- the colonists first attempt at creating a national government. What makes a constitution strong? What makes a constitution weak? Look at each statement on the page in front of you. With your small group, classify each statement (there are 10) as a strength or a weakness. And tell me why you put it in that category.

Format your paper like this Strengths Weaknesses 12- because of … 19- because I think that… 14- because people might… 17- because you could have to deal with… Answer the last two questions on the bottom of the page- It might be easiest to turn your paper sideways.
