PATHWAY 1 PATHWAY 2 If something happens in pathway 1, pathway 2 will still work. If something happens to pathway 2, Pathway 1 will still work. That means that electricity has 2 paths in can travel across.

Newton’s Laws An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless a force acts on it to stop it.

Balance forces are two forces acting in opposite directions on an object. Anytime there is a balanced force on an object, the object stays still.

25 N downward 15 N to the left 50 to the Right 30 N upward This box will increase in speed to the right and upward because the most force is pushing to the right and upward.

Chromosome Gene Nucleus Cell

An animal with a characteristic that helps it survive have an advantage. Like rabbits with a thick fur in a cold climate vs. rabbits that have a thin fur. The rabbits with the thicker fur are favored and so they will reproduce more.

Chromosomes store the information that determine an organisms traits.

The more traits a species has, the more chance it will have to adapting to changes in it’s environment.

Which type of environment does the woman with the fur coat have an advantage in?

Organisms need nutrients in order to survive.

Blank Slide # 13

The more mass an object has, the more difficult it is to move. The more difficult something is to move the more force you will need to move it.

Darwin wrote about Survival of the Fittest Darwin wrote about Survival of the Fittest. Fit means healthy and able to adapt.

Gravity will effect the weight of an object. Not it’s mass Gravity will effect the weight of an object. Not it’s mass. The further away from earth an object gets, the mass stays the same but it’s weight will change. 100lbs 50lbs 30lbs Saturn Pluto

"An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction.” Objects tend to "keep on doing what they're doing.”

Livings things may be the same species but they have different traits. That is why some are able to survive in an environment and others of the same species may not survive in the same environment.

It would take 9.5 years to get to Pluto The space shuttle can fly into space and back in a day. It would take 80,000 years to fly to the nearest star.

If a scale reads 35N that means the amount of force is 35 newtons. Force is measured in newtons. If a scale reads 35N that means the amount of force is 35 newtons.

Energy in our body comes from the sugars in the foods we eat.

A series circuit is made up of a battery, a switch and a bulb or bulbs in order. If one bulb goes out it will break the circuit.

Electromagnet The battery is producing electricity which is passing through the wire.

You are on your own!
