Presentation transcript:

National and Regional ‘follow-up’ plans on the language of instruction issues Discuss, brainstorm and plan next steps on the language of instruction and multilingual education SEAMEO member countries share (5 min) one or two key issues

What have you heard / learned? List the key messages / lessons you have heard and learned. What are most relevant for your overall national situation, and for the learners who are furthest away from accessing quality education? What would you like to change in your country’s work on these issues?

Who needs to hear these messages? Who in your country might support these messages? Identify the key stakeholders (different levels) - regional (Southeast Asia), - national (your country), - provincial (or similar level), - local (ethnolinguistic communities) Identify relationships between the stakeholders

Communication & resources How will you communicate the key messages (#1) with the key stakeholders (#2)? What additional resources (human, technical, financial etc.) you need to move forward?

Final contributions due by 31 March, 2008 Submit to SEAMEO secretariat When you return to your countries, involve others from your ministries and offices in your discussions
