French Indian War Part of a WORLDWIDE struggle for empire In a way it was the first “world war.” While the French and English fought in Europe, their colonies fought in North America.

FUR TRADING Different Native American tribes would trade furs to the Europeans for goods like iron pots and steel knives. The English and the French BOTH wanted furs! This led to conflict and fighting. Some Native American tribes joined the French and others joined the English.
