The Geographic Perspective The word “Geography” comes from the Greek words “Geo” (Earth) and “graph” (to describe or write about). Geography means to write or describe the Earth. Geography is a science, much like Geology or Chemistry, but what makes Geography unique is its perspective.

The Spatial Perspective Geography looks at the world from a spatial perspective. Spatial: the way phenomena are spaced out or positioned on Earth This can involve people, resources, cultural elements, or any phenomena Example: The English Language
