Introduction National Cultural Heritage. Kulla represents a type of fortifying detached single residential building. Appeared on early of 18th century until the late of 19th century. Influenced by social and cultural needs of the people, climate and the local available building materials. Previous studies mainly foccused in historical and typological observations. Discussion *PP-Payback Period, Energy Savings with Electricity (0.08 € per kWh) I-Investments S-Savings PP=I/S Payback Period: 4-4.5 years *Costs of Thermal Improvements: K1, K4, K5- 4700 € K2-4500 € K3-8700 € A.Rexhepi, A.Mahdavi, Emprical and Computational Study of the Thermal Performance of a Traditional Housing Type in Kosovo, Bausim 2010, Vienna, Austria

Conclusion Both existing comfort indoor environmental conditions and predicted scenarios via parametric studies during the season of summer can be maintained without relying in mechanical space cooling systems. Thermal Improvement in building envelope elements proves to be an important feature in decreasing significantly heating energy demands. Detailed Assessment of Kulla’s thermal performance allows future preservations and renovations measures have more objective view on possible improvements.
