Presentation transcript:

Mrs. Hake’s Friday, Jan. 5th edition CLASSROOM 2017-2018 news Sneak Peak Week in Review: at Next Week This week we learned all about ice, mittens, jackets, and snow. We made mittens with rhyming words, made our own jackets and wrote sentences using adjectives to describe our jackets. We loved having a snowball fight with our rainbow words and crumbled up paper. The Mitten and The Jacket I Wear in the Snow were two of our favorite stories we read this week. We also loved sharing what we did over break, and what our favorite Christmas gift was. It was so fun to hear about all the things we got for Christmas. The best thing was hearing all the fun, family time we got to spend with our own families. Watch the phases of matter- make ice, boil water to see the steam, etc. Make a snowman and create your own sequencing activity with pictures or drawings. Have a scavenger hunt using positions words. Rainbow Words If your child knows all forty kindergarten words, I will be sending home an additional set of words. This is just for practice and will help to continue to challenge students and prepare for first grade. Rainbow Words Trace, cut, practice: was as
