Newsletter May 2017 Welcome to our May Newsletter for 2017 We are hoping to continue our newsletter on a monthly basis and hope that it is keeping you very well informed! Our new surface is complete. It is all looking amazing and games have recommenced. We have arranged some new competitions with the head coach in Mareeba and have introduced Juniors competition once a month in Mareeba this term. We have also had some interest in Cardio Tennis and we are still looking into how we can introduce this as well. Just a reminder please, we ask that parents picking up & dropping off on a Monday afternoon to be very careful and aware that there is other children running around the grounds, just until we can sort better parking . We do not want any accidents! We have created a maintenance committee with just a few members at this stage, if you are interested in helping, please contact the club yungaburratc@gmail.com We were sad to be informed that our new Secretary Carlie Hill has had to resign but we have had Ingrid Nisbet step up and nominate for the position. Thank you Ingrid. We will be holding an open day for the Resurface of the courts and we will be inviting the Minister for Sport & Rec, so keep an eye out for the details about this. Please let us know if you are able to assist with the planning for this day as it is a lot for a few people to plan. We are still encouraging all members to join Tennis and then join their club via the Tennis Qld website so that we are eligible to receive our $5 reward per member.
