Challenges and Possible Strategies CHALLENGE: Teams have less funding than I expected STRATEGY: Bootstrap with inter-team resource sharing; help leads in grant process; early corporate support leads; worst-case patch some supplies for the goal of early success but avoid precedent CHALLENGE: Making sure that the teams are self-sustaining STRATEGY: Follow the best practices we’ve seen in place here at GT; Keep it to 10-15 students per mentor; Tweak the mix each semester
Opportunities There are several VIP-like teams on campus that we would like to bring into the fold We’ve had some early conversations with potential corporate partners The recruitment office is keen to work us into marketing materials The CISC department is considering replacing/augmenting their senior design experience with VIP
