Assessment Len Bowers, Professor of Psychiatric Nursing Tried and tested evidence based model with good results (RCT). Implementing Safewards is an example of “spread”. Not aware of co-production in prioritising/selecting interventions for implementation – is this a new idea? People will continue with what they have helped to create.

Welcome Recommendations Main title for slide set Start the process by gaining the input of service users and staff alike Start small, introduce the interventions in small groupings, start with x 3 at a time have the service users choose where to start and what to introduce Review the effects at regular intervals with the team and the service users Discuss and promote Safewards at team and patient community meetings Audit and evaluate, tools being devised for this but also use of Datix recording systems to show if there has been an improvement.
