Here is what happened in these regions…. What changed in these regions? How did that happen? Here is what happened in these regions….

Here is a very special region…

Here is what makes this region, and other River Valleys, so special… 1) Gift of the River River water was key to farming in early civilizations. Water was used for crops. This also led to people living near crops in villages. 3) Natural Highways River travel allowed early civilization to trade surplus goods, and new ideas. 2) New Activities Food surplus allowed people to pursue other activities like crafts, art, and writing. In fact, writing emerged in part to track the surplus. 4) From Village to City With the development of agriculture, people settled into farming villages. Over time, some of these villages grew into large cities.

And then this happened … What changed and what stayed the same in the region?

This continent is the only continent that is also ONE country… Here is how it was first settled… http://www.migrationheritage.nsw.gov.au/exhibition/objectsthroughtime/cowbell/ http://news.softpedia.com/news/Giant-Kangaroos-Killed-40-000-Years-Ago-by-a-Severe-Drought-not-Ancient-Aborigines-41270.shtml
