“Top 10” Strategies to Help Increase Graduation Quarterly monitoring of seniors and off-track seniors with counselors, administrators, social worker, and superintendent (and/or assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent) Bi-monthly conversation with SILT to address seniors/off-track seniors to find effective strategies and interventions Individualized graduation plans for all students to meet their specific needs with a focus on off- track students. Mandatory parent and student meetings with principal and counselors. Involve school level and district level Special Education staff to help in the utilization of PEC waivers 8. Reviewed IEP plans to ensure students were meeting graduation requirements. 9. Summer school opportunities for students with extended summer hours through Foothills Charter School .evening school. 10. Community and staff participation in the Martin Luther King Community Student Drop Out roundup. Social worker and attendance officer followed up with students who had dropped out or were not attending school. “Top 10” Strategies to Help Increase Graduation

Instructional Focus Time Added in the Bell Schedule This additional 53 minutes is added to the school day schedule Monday-Thursday. Friday it is used for Advisement Focus on Content Mastery and Differentiation Students who are labeled as “severe” on the monitoring list attend credit recovery focus Instructional Focus Time Added in the Bell Schedule
