Losing ME… To Find Myself

Galatians 1:13-15 NIV “For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it….. I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers…But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace….”

I no longer live…… Galatians 2:20 NIV I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I no longer live…. Galatians 2:20 NLT My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

My life is worth nothing to me….. Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Losing selfish ways….. Philippians 2:3-5 NLT “Do not be selfish; do not try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Losing Self to Find ME….. Luke 9:23-24 NLT Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way(selfish ways)take up your cross daily, and follow me. 24 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

2 Corinthians 5:14-17 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
