ORELAP Technical Advisory Committee (OTAC) OELA/ORELAP Environmental Laboratory Workshop May 11, 2016

What is OTAC? Formed in 2001 by ORELAP The Committee is made up of eight members who are chosen to provide ORELAP with a wide spectrum of relevant technical expertise and impartiality by representing a balance of interests with no single interest predominating. OTAC members serve three year terms Tenures are staggered so one-third of memberships expire at the end of October each year New members begin their term with the December meeting Other vacancies filled as openings occur

What do we do? Mission Statement: The ORELAP Technical Advisory Committee (OTAC) provides a forum for open discussions between ORELAP and the environmental laboratory community. The Committee provides advice to ORELAP on policies, procedures, implementation and interpretation of the TNI Standards, and other technical matters pertinent to the operation of ORELAP. The Committee also serves as a two-way conduit for communication between ORELAP, ORELAP accredited laboratories, and other members of the environmental community who may have an interest in laboratory accreditation through ORELAP
