What are Pan Pastels?
Why are they “Pan”? Why “Pastels”? Because they come in a little round container like a pan! They stack – there is not a separate cover for each one. They can be bought individually or in sets Sets have a plastic cover that goes over several pans “Pastel” is not the color – it is the material Different from chalks, blends better and adheres better

Hunterline Stains
You can do some of it yourself India ink and alcohol Ink comes in a few colors unlike Hunterline Basic black can be made in various strengths Good for a basic wash, but not more subtle color treatments

Alcohol is more expensive the less water there is in it.
Why higher alcohol? The more water, the more warpage with wood. Always brace walls Always weigh down wood that has been treated with water products My favorite weights:
