Breach of Rules or Code of Conduct

Athletes Sanctions Breach of Rules Elimination & official recorded warning Athletes Sanctions Recorded verbal warning Review case by case. Elimination at GJ’s discretion Recorded Verbal warning Yellow Warning Card Incorrect Behaviour (towards officials, athlete, owner etc.. Suspensions can only be imposed by the FEI Tribunal or in certain circumstances, the FEI Secretary General. ** For serious cases of Horse Abuse, the FEI may open a case with the FEI Tribunal who can impose a fine of up to CHF 15,000 and/or a Suspension of 3 months (minimum) to life. Elimination & yellow warning card

Athletes Sanctions 527 Yellow Warning Cards Before issuing a Yellow Warning card, the Ground Jury has the duty to hear the Athlete, if available. At any time, the Athlete has the right to seek out the Ground Jury for any explanation related to the Yellow Warning Card. If after reasonable efforts the Athlete cannot be notified during the Period of the Event that s/he has received a Yellow Warning Card, the Athlete must be notified in writing within fourteen (14) days of the Event. In the case of a Yellow Warning Card being issued, after the decision of the Ground Jury, a notice stating the name of the Athlete and the reason of the warning must be posted on the Official notice board. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the General Regulations, should the same Person Responsible receive one more Yellow Warning Card at the same or any other international Event within one year of the delivery of the first Yellow Warning Card for the same offence, the Person Responsible shall automatically be suspended for a period of two months after official notification from FEI Secretary General.
