ELED edTPA Preparation Best Practices

ELED Coursework Several opportunities for feedback throughout the undergraduate program Early practice tasks Multiple lesson plan formats Plan, teach, and gather feedback on performance First semester YLI complete all Tasks for feedback in their classrooms Should be the same classroom for student teaching Candidates seeking a Graduate Certificate have an abbreviated program and fewer opportunities for practice

Synthesis of supporting resources edTPA Handbook with rubrics Understanding Rubric Level Progressions

edTPA Professional Development Workdays ELED Student Teachers are provided 2 workdays to work on their edTPA project. Spring 2018 - Jan. 29 & Feb. 12 Faculty support is provided on both days. (face to face, email, phone, webex, etc.) Students sign up for the support that they need. ST’s MUST submit their plan 2 days prior to the designated workday and MUST update the plan with outcomes by the end of the day.
