Challenges Eroding enrolment rate for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes Decreasing quality of enrolment Unsatisfactory throughput for undergraduate programmes Increasing competition from local and international HEIs 5. Inability to attract the best scholars on research programmes 6. Inadequate research to meet the needs of the economy 7. Inadequate strategic partnerships relationships with other universities
