Using Your Tracking System to Evaluate and Engage the High Risk Student Janelle Sokolowich PhD, MSN, RN Dean, Academic Success • Chamberlain University

Objectives The learner will be able to: Understand the academic risk indicators utilized by Chamberlain University, College of Nursing Pre-licensure program Center’s for Academic Success (CAS) to determine student risk Evaluate Chamberlain University, College of Nursing Pre- licensure CAS Tutor Trac system watch list Discuss student engagement strategies utilizing the Tutor Trac system Discuss the faculty role in the utilization of the Tutor Trac system

Academic Risk Assessment Non academic factors Preadmission assessment performance Assessment given yearly

Chamberlain Tutor Trac Review watch list, run report for watch list, Student engagement – using documents section for A2 assessment, learning style and initial assessment print out, discussion to each other Standardized documentation Scheduling Discuss how we get student engaged. Academic Risk Referral policy - Now to discuss Faculty engagement Faculty submit referral week one for all red students, they receive and email for all unprocessed every Monday to remind them they are not closed. The faculty then follow up in class and individually with students to increase students response and seeking CAS support.
