4 principles of CARP Contrast is used to distinguish visual elements and emphasize on the key information. Alignment is where you place the visual elements. It creates a sense of organizing and increase readability. - Repetition helps to increase retention and incorporate harmony, and consistency. It also allows the viewer to take a mental break. Once the brain identifies the single element of a pattern, it can comprehend as a whole. - Proximity is used the concept of space bringing certain elements close together or dividing space between them and other group based on how each element relates to each other.
