Frank Brackett was born in 1929 and was born in the east end of London in Bethnal Green. Frank is now 83 years old.

Franks earliest Olympics was when Roger Bannister ran a mile in under 4 minutes, on the 6 th May He enjoyed many sports when he was growing up, including skiing, which he did all over the world, he also liked rally racing, football and running. Frank supported Millwall football team when he was growing up.

Frank loved boxing, was a professional and was lucky enough to meet many famous people. Muhammad Ali, the worlds greatest boxer of all time, was known by Frank. He actually remembers picking Muhammad Ali up in his car from Basildon and driving him about! He also knew Freddie Mills, the world light heavyweight champion, and boxed in a competition with the notorious Reggie Kray.

Frank also loved rally car racing. He was quite famous and was good friends with the Moss family, including Stirling Moss. Stirling moss was famous for being the best all round racing driver of all time, he was known as Mr Motor Racing. Frank was good friends with pat Moss and Stirlings dad was actually his dentist!

Frank has 1 brother, who is called Nobby, and a sister, who is called Gladys. He has one daughter called Linda. Cars have been a huge passion of Franks, he once owned 3 sports cars. He still drives a flashy convertible Mercedes. Frank has been very lucky to have met so many famous people through sport. He also managed to meet the famous singer, Rod Stewart and the world famous actor Paul Newman,
