Hindu Caste System Guided Notes Reincarnation- when the soul, which is seen as eternal and part of a spiritual realm, returns to the physical realm in a new body Polytheism- the belief in or worship of more than one god

Significant Writings Vedas- earliest written record of Indo-Aryan civilization and the most sacred books of India They are the original scriptures of Hindu teachings The word Veda means wisdom, knowledge or vision, and it serves to manifest the language of the gods in human speech
