Objectives: To increase participation in order to reflect the demographics of the North /West Auckland region ( %, %). To increase the completion rates of Pacific students to equal the Unitec mainstream population. To ensure that Pacific cultural dimensions are embedded in the student experience. To increase the number of Pacific students progressing to higher level programmes.

The students that completed the programme had a collective course success rate of 91% for semester one. (The Pacifc Unitec average success rate for the same semester was 68%. The overall Unitec average was 78%) The students who did not commit, or withdrew from the programme had a collective course success rate of 50% for semester one
